DISTRICT 39
BUSINESS & INDUSTRY TOUR:

ENTERGY ARKANSAS INDEPENDENCE POWER PLANT

One of my priorities as state representative is to ensure good paying jobs stay in Arkansas and support small businesses, economic growth, oil and energy jobs. The first stop on my tour is Entergy Arkansas Independence Power Plant in Newark. It was great to meet with the employees of the plant and see the important work they do to provide us with electricity.
The Independence Plant is a 1678-megawatt coal-fired base load power plant that has been in operation since 1983. It provides over 300 jobs in our district. This plant plays a vital role of providing electricity to Arkansans, and it’s important to stay engaged with the plant and focus on solutions for the future.
To Arkansas workers- I will always have your back! Energy jobs are some of the most important in our state and we have to protect these jobs.
HOPE PLACE-NEWPORT

It was great to meet with Hope Place of Newport and learn about the important work they do for mothers in crisis. They opened in 2018 and have helped support dozens and dozens of mothers in Arkansas.
One of my priorities as State Representative is to defend the sanctity of life and keep Arkansas the number one pro-life state in the nation. That doesn’t just mean being anti-abortion, that means investing in Arkansas children and families.
As state representative, my promise to you is that I will protect life, not just in the womb, but outside of the womb as well. This means investing in mothers through postpartum and prenatal care, and continuing to invest in Arkansas families every step of the way.
WHITE COUNTY FAIR

I enjoyed attending the White County Fair, were I was able to connect with many business owners in White County.
White County is home to several businesses and Industry and as state representative I will always vote to protect important jobs in our district.
It was also great to see the farming industry that White County has to offer. Farming is a national security interest that we have to protect in The Natural State. I am thankful for all our great farmers!
Lastly, it was great to connect with the motorsports folks at the fair. I will always vote to protect the motorsports industry in Arkansas.
NEWPORT DEPOT DAYS

I had great discussions with the people in Newport at Depot Days, seeing all that Newport has to offer. Thanks to all who put on this amazing festival for the Newport and Jackson county community.
Of course I had to eat at The Angry Possum, a great local restaurant!
To the people of Newport- Your community matters and you deserve a representative who will ensure that your needs are met. If elected, I will be a voice for all the people in District 39.
BRADFORD FUN FEST

I had a great time at Bradford Fun Fest and Parade. It was great to speak with the tight-knit community of Bradford, where everyone is like family. Thank you for the support!
I even stopped by Dr. Bernard Smith’s old hospital, (Dr. Bernard Smith was a cousin to me). Many people knew him as Doc Smith and several people in Bradford were delivered by him. What you may not know is that he was also Chairman of the White County Republican Party back in the day (I guess you can say it runs in the family).
POSTMASTER SPIRITS-NEWPORT
Postmaster Sprits is a small distillery located in the historic post office in Newport. They have great food and a neat atmosphere. Small businesses play an essential role in shaping the Arkansas economy, and I will always vote to help small businesses. I love to support small businesses because I know the work that goes into owning one. Thank you to all the small business owners for what you do. I'll always have your back!
Who Dats Cajun Restaurant-Bald Knob

One of my favorite restaurants in the state of Arkansas is Who Dats Cajun Restaurant in Bald Knob. If you haven’t ever been, then I encourage you to go try their amazing food. Support local businesses!
